1949 - Peachbowl Speedway. This Milton Dixon owned car was 18 yr old Charlie Mincey's 1st car, and this checkered flag was just a prelude to what would be a common occurance over the next 31 years.
Charlie Mincey's first bought trip car in 1949. He paid $575 at a local car lot,then had Hall of Famer Bob Flock build a completely modified flathead racing motor with three carburetors.At the time probably the fastest street car in Atlanta.
Charlie leads 1954 rookie driver Bud Lunsford, Aubrey Hollis, and an unknown driver on the outside.
