A few words from OUR Newly Elected President Dick Tasse

🏁 FROM PEERING THROUGH A TARP TO LEADING THE PACK! 🏁

It is an incredible honor to introduce myself as the newly elected 

President of the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association (GARHOFA).

My journey with racing didn’t start in a boardroom—it started in West Allis, WI, as a 4-year-old boy. I still remember my dad holding me up so I could peek through a small hole in a tarp just to catch a glimpse of the cars at the Milwaukee Mile. That roar of the engines changed my life forever! 🏎️💨

In 1953, I brought that passion to Georgia. I grew up just a mile from Lakewood Speedway and spent my youth at the Fairburn Drag Strip, eventually working with the crews for legends like Jimmy Burton, Arnie Beswick, and later helping Bruce Brantley build and maintain his stock cars.

I’ve been a Charter Member of this great association since 1997, and I can tell you one thing: the people are what make this sport legendary. 🤝      

 MY MISSION AS PRESIDENT:

• Grow Our Membership: We are a statewide      organization, and we want to bring even more fans into the fold to preserve our rich history.
• Support Our Sponsors: Strengthening the partners who keep our heritage alive.
• Pioneer Pages Magazine: Driving more support for our Fine Pioneer Pages Magazine
